Digital Asset Management

• In our current environment of electronic material, it is very important to manage our digital assets in a manner to insure security and allow easy access of this property. The terminology used to describe this procedure is Digital Asset Management or DAM for short. The accurate definition of this process and procedure is as follows:
  • “The process of storing, retrieving and distributing digital assets (files), such as logos, photos, marketing collateral, documents, and multimedia files in a centralized and systematically organized system, allowing for the quick and efficient storage, retrieval, and reuse of the digital files that are essential to all businesses”.
  • “DAM is a combination of workflow, software and hardware which organizes and retrieves a company's digital assets”.
